The face I can remember

Of childhood dreams,
Of all that we would share,

When life could see no care,
Now, I see another person there,
Though bonded from our birth,
All resemblance disappeared...
There's not a sign
From all our past...
Disease has taken over her,
And taken all her youth.
The pain I feel
- The tears I cry
Won't bring her back to me.
She's someone new
We see each day,
My heart feels heavy

Of all she used to be.
