....and there you sat and listened
As the words were spoken
That I held inside.

For so long now I kept them in
And waited - until now
To let myself confide.

I guess I needed all that time,
To make the time feel right
I couldn't keep it anymore,
My heart was full,
From all those months,
Of waiting - now it's over.

And now you'll think and maybe dream,
As I have done on many lonely nights.
My heart is sad if this is truly gone,
Now time is all that's left for me to bear.
