If you've ever been in our house you might have seen a Dragonfly or two (actually, they are everywhere if you look)
Dragonflies are my "totem"... my anchor ... my symbol of success ... my good luck charm ... and have held special meaning to me for some years.

When my mother died of cancer July 24th 2004, I had been with her almost 24 hours a day for nearly 2 months.
After she died I started getting signs from her that she was
"with me" in spirit. 

In August, two days before my Dad and I flew to B.C., I asked my Dad if he wanted to go and see Mom's gravesite again (hadn't been there since she died) and he said, “Yes”.

The night before our visit to Mom’s gravesite, I was reading my book and the light beside me blinked (more than once) (that is one of her many signs to me) ... and I said "Okay Mom, if that really is you (although I had little doubt) – then I want you to show me a sign by landing a Dragonfly right on your gravesite the very minute that I'm putting flowers down tomorrow"
... pretty specific request!!!!   

My Dad and I arrived ... I had some beautiful flowers in hand ... approached my Mom’s marker ... was putting down the flowers and I heard a buzzing sound coming from the left of me ... I looked over and, on the gravesite next to my Mom's, were

TWO DRAGONFLIES ... MATING!!!!!

It was the most amazing thing I'd ever seen. To me, it was a symbol of how much she missed her mate of over 50 years, and I believe she was also showing me that I was a product of the deep love that she shared with my Dad.

When I saw the “Mating Dragonflies” I said to my Dad, "Do not move an inch"... I had my digital camera strapped around me and I slowly unzipped it ... took out my camera ... and captured the most amazing picture!!!!
